Cement Sales in Pakistan Rise by 15.17% in October 2025

Cement sales in Pakistan reached 3.926 million tons in October 2025 as compared with 3.409 million tons in October 2024, showing an increase of 15.17 per cent.

Exports, however, declined by a massive 23.44 per cent as the volumes reduced from 1.081 million tons in October 2024 to just 0.827 million tons in October 2025. In September 2025, exports dropped by 15.25 per cent.

According to the data released by All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA) on Monday, total cement despatches reached 4.754 million tons during October 2025 as against 4.49 million tons during the same month of the last fiscal year, showing a marginal growth of 5.87 per cent.

In October 2025, north-based mills dispatched 3.525 million tons of cement, showing an increase of 15.03 per cent against 3.064 million tons in October 2024. South-based mills dispatched 1.23 million tons of cement during October 2025, which was 13.81 per cent less compared to 1.425 million tons during October 2024.

North-based Mills Dispatch:

North-based mills dispatched 3.379 million tons of cement in domestic markets in October 2025, showing an increase of 18.07 per cent against 2.862 million tons in October 2024. South-based mills dispatched 547,661 tons of cement in local markets during October 2025, which was equal to 547,611 during October 2024.

Exports from north-based mills dropped by 27.79 per cent as the quantities reduced from 202,858 tons in October 2024 to 146,478 tons in October 2025. Exports from the south also reduced by 22.43 per cent to 680,903 tons in October 2025 from 877,833 tons in October 2024.

During the first four months of the current fiscal year, total cement despatches (domestic and exports) were 17.265 million tons, which is 15.48 per cent higher than 14.951 million tons during the corresponding period of the last fiscal year.

Domestic despatches during this period were 13.849 million tons against 11.728 million tons during the same period last year, showing an increase of 18.09 per cent. Exports were 5.97 per cent more as the volumes increased to 3.416 million tons during the first four months of the current fiscal year compared to 3.223 million tons during the same period of the last fiscal year.

North-based mills dispatched 11.739 million tons of cement domestically during the first four months of the current fiscal year, showing an increase of 18.46 per cent from 9.910 million tons during July-October 2024.

Exports:

Exports from the north also increased by 13.84 per cent to 808,344 tons during July-October 2025 as compared with 710,059 tons during the same period last year. Total despatches by north-based mills increased by 18.15 per cent to 12.547 million tons during the first four months of the current financial year from 10.62 million tons during the same period of the last financial year.

Domestic despatches by south-based mills during July-October 2025 were 2.11 million tons, showing an increase of 16.07 per cent over 1.818 million tons during the same period of the last fiscal year. Exports from the south also increased by a marginal 3.75 per cent to 2.607 million tons during July-October 2025, as compared with 2.513 million tons during the same period last year.

Total despatches by south-based mills increased by 8.92 per cent to 4.718 million tons during the first four months of the current financial year from 4.331 million tons during the same period of the last financial year.

APCMA spokesman expressed concerns over the decline in exports during the last two consecutive months. “If this trend continues, it may dent our hopes of cement sector revival,” he stated while urging the government to take export-friendly measures to make cement more competitive and attractive in foreign markets.
