Pakistan thrashed defending champions Bangladesh by eight wickets in the second semi-final.
Both teams played the match in Dubai on Friday to qualify for the ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup final.
Green shirts will face arch-rivals India in the U19 Asia Cup final in Dubai on Sunday, December 21.
Chasing a modest 122-run target in the rain-affected 27 overs a side match, Pakistan crossed the finish line with eight wickets in hand and 63 balls remaining. Opener Sameer Minhas stood as the highest scorer for Green shirts with an unbeaten 63 off 57 balls. He laced with six boundaries and two maximums.
Usman Khan contributed 27 off 25 balls, hitting two fours and two maximums. Ahmed Hussain made an unbeaten 11 off 14 balls. Iqbal Hossain Emon and Samiun Basir took one wicket apiece. Match committee named Abdul Subhan as player of the match for his valuable contribution with the ball.
Bangladesh Scorecard:
Put into bat first, Bangladesh kept losing wickets at regular intervals and were bundled out for 121 in 26.3 overs. Batting at eight, Samiun Basir was the top scorer with 33 off 37 balls with the help of one four and one six.
Skipper Azizul Hakim contributed 20 off 26 balls, hitting one four and one six. Rifat Beg made 14 off 16 balls with the help of one four and one six. No other batter could enter the double figures.
Abdul Subhan bagged four wickets, Huzaifa Ahsan two, and Ahmed Hussain, Mohammad Sayyam and Ali Raza one each, while Samiun Basir was run out.
Meanwhile, Pakistan survived the United Arab Emirates scare in the last Group ‘A’ match played on December 16.
Both teams played the match at the ICC Academy Ground in Dubai to reach the ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup Semis.
Chasing a decent 242-run target for an upset victory, UAE were cruising at 142/3 in the 30th overs. Disciplined bowling and sharp fielding caused the UAE to lose seven wickets with the addition of just 29 runs. It helped it to hand Pakistan a comprehensive 70-run victory.
