Pakistan is set to host two international cricket events in October and November.
Cricket enthusiasts have expressed joy following announcements by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
Pak vs South Africa:
As per the PCB, cricket team of South Africa is visiting Pakistan in mid of October. Sri Lanka and Afghanistan will tour Pakistan in mid of November.
“Pakistan’s new cycle of the ICC World Test Championship 2025-27 will begin on 12 October, when they host the 2023-25 ICC World Test Champions South Africa for a two Test-match series,” stated the PCB.
Gaddafi Stadium Lahore will host first five-day match from 12 to 16 October. Both teams will play second test at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from 20 to 24 October.
Both sides will feature in three T20Is from 28 October to 1 November. First T20I is taking place at the Rawalpindi while the remaining two will be hosted at Gaddafi Stadium. The series will conclude with three ODIs. One-day-international events will take place from 4 to 8 November at the Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad. It is first ODI at the stadium in 17 years. Bangladesh and Pakistan had played at the venue in April 2008, where the former lost by seven wickets.
Pakistan, Sri Lanka , Afghanistan T20I Tri-Series:
Pakistan will host its maiden T20I tri-series when Pakistan, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka feature in a three-nation tournament from 17 to 29 November.
The series, believe experts, ahead of next year’s ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka, will play a vital role in improving players’ skills.
The tri-series will begin on 17 November with Pakistan taking on Afghanistan at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. This will be Afghanistan’s first-ever T20I in Pakistan.
On 19 November, Sri Lanka will face Afghanistan at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, while the remaining five T20Is of the tri-series, including the final on 29 November will be played at the Gaddafi Stadium.
