The Pakistan Cricket Board conducted a day-long workshop for coaches from six regions.
It conducted workshop at the Hanif Mohammad High-Performance Centre in Karachi on Monday.
The participants of the workshop included coaches from Dera Murad Jamali, FATA, Karachi, Larkana, Multan and Rawalpindi Regions. Another set of regional coaches will undergo a similar day-long workshop on Saturday, 20 September. Inzamam-ul-Haq High-Performance Centre in Multan will host the event.
The workshop was led by National Cricket Academy’s Head of Coach Education and Development Shahid Aslam, while members Men’s and Women’s Selection Committee and head of Hanif Mohammad HPC Asad Shafiq and head coach HPC Azam Khan assisted him.

The Pakistan Cricket Board has divided the intensive workshop into three parts. These comprised lectures on the challenges faced by coaches, coaching theories and performing under pressure. The use of Technology and Data science in coaching and a dedicated skills session followed by a feedback session.
The PCB has scheduled these workshops on rest days during the ongoing Hanif Mohammad Trophy. It aimed to keep a track of the development of coaches with the onset of the domestic cricket season 2025-26.
Meanwhile, the 40-over tournament under PCB will likely begin on September 20. The schools in each district will take on each other. After Inter-District fixtures, the top school from each district will advance to the knockout stage consisting of quarter finals, semifinals and final.
“The PCB will award with an overseas tour to winner of the tournament. The top-performing schools in each district will qualify for the Weekend Schools League over the course of winter. Many expect top 100 schools out of the 405 will be part of the latter tournament. The top performers of both the school tournaments will be scouted by the PCB coaches and invited to take part in High-Performance camps in PCB’s academies.”
