Unconfirmed social media reports claim that Noor Wali Mehsud has been assassinated.

Reports say Mehsud, the fourth emir of banned terror outfit Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), was killed in Kabul on Thursday night.

Many claim Pakistan carried out the airstrike in Afghanistan’s capital to hit the top terrorist. However, officials from Pakistan or Afghanistan sides have so far not spoken about it.

ToloNews posted on X minutes after the reports of attack went viral on media: “After the sound of heavy explosions and drones was heard in Kabul, residents said that the Abdul Haq Square in the eastern part of the city has been closed off and there is heavy traffic in the area. Islamic Emirate spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid said that an investigation into the explosion is underway and that no reports of casualties or damages have been released so far.”

More than 14-hour have passed since the emergence of claims regarding TTP leader’s killing.
