Asian Development Bank (ADB) Director for Central and West Asia Jiangfeng Zhang, along with ADB team, called on WAPDA Chairman Lt Gen Muhammad Saeed (Retd) at WAPDA House.
They discussed matters relating to providing funds for Naulong Dam Project and National Flood Telemetry Project, WAPDA spokesperson said.
WAPDA Member (Finance), Member (Water), Member (Power) and other senior officers also attended the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, ADB Director for Central and West Asia said that ADB would continue working with WAPDA by deepening its ties for implementation of the climate-resilient projects in Pakistan. He also appreciated WAPDA for its technical expertise in harnessing water resources in the country.
Earlier, WAPDA Chairman thanked ADB for its support in handling the precious water resources in Pakistan. The participants of the meeting agreed that the departments will timeline the pre-requisites for both projects, National Flood Telemetry Project in particular, to ensure fast-track financing arrangements and, thereafter, initiating construction work on the projects.
WAPDA spokesperson stated that ADB has already shown keen interest in providing funds for Naulong Dam and National Flood Telemetry Project.

Meanwhile WAPDA described the position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages as follows:
Rivers:
Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 17500 cusecs and Outflows 17500 cusecs. Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 11400 cusecs and Outflows 11400 cusecs. Khairabad Bridge: Inflows 17000 cusecs and Outflows 17000. Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 6700 cusecs and Outflows 100 cusecs. Chenab at Marala: Inflows 8000 cusecs and Outflows 8000 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 22500 cusecs and Outflows 22500 cusecs. Chashma: Inflows: 29500 cusecs and Outflows 24000 cusecs. Taunsa: Inflows 18200 cusecs and Outflows 18200 cusecs. Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1402 feet, present level 1492.00 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 2.747 MAF.
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1050 feet, present level 1202.25 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 4.397 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 638.15 feet, present level 648.20 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.269 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela, Jinnah and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
