400,000 Children Die In Pakistan Every Year:
According to ChildLife website, an average 1,000 child deaths occur per day in Pakistan. It described this death rate as twice the number caused by the leading global killer, cardiac disease. And it is more than the deaths caused combined by cancer and road traffic accidents.
The foundation said its inception traces back to the 2010 super floods. The massive floods exposed these shortcomings in Pakistan’s public emergency care system for children. This crisis mobilized philanthropic efforts, ultimately resulting in the establishment of the foundation.
ChildLife has claimed it has modernised and managed 14 children’s Emergency Rooms in public tertiary hospitals. It happened in partnership with the government. ChildLife is ensuring that every child have access to quality emergency care across Pakistan.
