Punjab chief minister Maryam Nawaz has formally inaugurated the Punjab Police Pakistan App.
It enables citizens to report the loss of essential documents from the comfort of their homes. Through this app, citizens can register reports for lost identity cards, passports, driving licenses. And other important documents without visiting a police station or service center. Upon submission, the department will deliver loss report to the applicant at home.
The “Punjab Police Pakistan App” will facilitate citizens across the province. It will help citizens in lodging complaints regarding lost valuable documents in a timely and convenient manner. Hence resulting in significant savings of both time and resources.
Expressing satisfaction over the launch, Maryam Nawaz stated that leveraging modern technology to provide ease to the public remains a key priority of the government. She reaffirmed that her government is steering Punjab towards innovation and progress.
Relief operations begin in Jhika Gali:
On the directions of Punjab CM, members of the Provincial Assembly and the district administration of Murree have approached the affected residents in Jhika Gali.
The government has started relief activities for families impacted by the landslide. The district administration has arranged suitable temporary accommodation for the affected households. And it has completed an initial assessment of damaged homes.
The government is providing food through lunch boxes and cooked meals, along with other necessary facilities. For accommodation, it has prepared four proper rooms and supplied 14 tents. It has distributed blankets and other relief goods among the affected families.
Around 50 local laborers participating in the relief effort. To secure the affected site, polythene sheets are being laid over cracks, and dewatering pumps are being used to remove excess water.
Water flowing from Jhika Gali Road, Rich Bell Road, and Jhika Gali Chowk is being diverted towards the Bhurban Kuldana drain. The district administration has completed a preliminary assessment of the affected houses in Jhika Gali.
