SNGPL Posts Record Rs34.65bn Pre-Tax Profit, Recommends 30% Dividend

Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has reported its highest-ever pre-tax profit of Rs34.656 billion for the financial year 2025-26, marking an increase of around 42 per cent compared to Rs24.446 billion recorded in the previous year.

At a board meeting held in Lahore on November 5, 2026, the company approved its annual financial statements for the year ended June 30, 2026. It recommended a final cash dividend of Rs3 per share, equivalent to 30 per cent, subject to shareholders’ approval.

The SNGPL posted an after-tax profit of Rs14.809 billion, compared to Rs14.592 billion in FY2024-25. Earnings per share also rose to Rs23.35 from Rs23.01 in the preceding financial year.

The company attributed its improved performance partly to efforts to enhance administrative and operational efficiency and reduce Unaccounted for Gas (UFG) losses.

During the year, UFG losses declined by 1,672 million cubic feet, falling from 29,520 million cubic feet to 27,848 million cubic feet, reflecting progress in the company’s efforts to curb gas losses.

The board appreciated the management and employees for their contributions to improving operational performance and achieving the company’s record financial results.

The company’s Annual General Meeting will be held at its head office on November 27, 2026, where shareholders will consider the annual financial statements, the proposed final cash dividend and other routine business.

SNGPL MD Amer Tufail:

The board particularly appreciated the leadership of Managing Director Amer Tufail, acknowledging his role in strengthening the company’s administrative and operational efficiency and improving its financial performance.

It commended his efforts in leading a coordinated strategy to curb UFG losses, enhance operational discipline and achieve the company’s targets. The board also recognised the dedication and professional commitment of the management and employees, noting that their collective efforts under the company’s leadership had contributed significantly to the historic financial results. The achievement reflects the company’s continued focus on improving efficiency, reducing gas losses and strengthening its overall operational performance.
